Dezi Hernandez supported teachers and students by providing critical reading interventions to our neediest scholars. After receiving Orton Gilliamham training, she met daily with small groups of students, tracked progress, and collaborated with teachers. My journey with Deziree began at Sunnymead middle school where I started my internship. Her helpful, collaborative positive and kind demeanor made our work dynamic and enjoyable.
