Pi Day was reimagined as Math Night, bringing together students, families, and educators for an evening of hands-on learning and community engagement. The entire math team collaborated to create interactive stations featuring activities like the Pythagorean Theorem Challenge, Math Bingo, Jeopardy, Pyramid Challenge, Jumbo Uno, My 24, Ring Toss, and the highly anticipated Edible Car Race.
In the Multipurpose Room (MPR), student work and projects were proudly displayed, highlighting their creativity and achievements. Families had the opportunity to connect with teachers, administrators, and fellow parents, strengthening relationships and fostering a shared enthusiasm for math in a fun, welcoming environment.
The 7th grade math team organized rotations across four classrooms, each focused on engaging activities related to one- and two-step equations. Students spent 10 minutes in each station before rotating, following structured cues.
To reinforce learning, students completed packets throughout the rotations and submitted them to their home teacher for grading. Their strong performance reflected both their understanding of the material and their ability to adapt to the collaborative structure. The event ran smoothly, with no behavioral issues, as students embraced the teamwork-driven approach while maintaining high behavior expectations.
